We are led by a not-too-bright bunch of stuffed shirt politicians who get their marching orders from climate change campaigners who have their own broad political agenda. Neither the campaigners nor the politicians can do math, and none of them understands HOW to decarbonize in a reasonable, incremental way that doesn’t lead the collapse of our complex civilization. We’re pretty fucked.

Dear Chickens,

The US certainly could eliminate it's vulnerability to foreign dependence for our oil and gas needs with a sensible energy policy. It could even reduce its "carbon footprint" with nuclear power (stopping the insane waste of money on green--what a misnomer) power.

However, Europe cannot now and will never (within any reasonable timeframe) be free of the need for Russian oil, gas a dozen other essential materials (nickel, potash, timber, coal, etc.). They could reduce their need for gas and eliminate their coal need, if they built nuclear power plants to supply essentially all their electrical needs. Figure the odds.

In fact, the entire world needs many of things Russian supplies.

What the West needs is to develop a sensible foreign policy that recognizes Russians right to exist and their security needs. They were promised NATO would not intrude on their borders in the 90's and now their entire western border, except Belarus and Ukraine are NATO members!

I understand that Poland, the Baltic states, etc. have reasons to fear Russia. We could have made clear our desire to protect them with bilateral treaties (for defense) without threatening Russia. NATO's advance is an existential threaten to them. Ukraine is 350 miles (km?) form Moscow.

We support and facilitate China despite their genocide of multiple peoples they have conquered in the last 70 years (if you don't know where you are part of the problem). They threaten and periodically attack their neighbors and we don't do more than mouth platitudes. This is despite the only thing the US needs from China are our jobs back!

The main reason the Biden Admin is acting upset about Ukraine is it means another chance to launder billions through Ukraine for graft and a way to distract the US public from their other failures.

Any American that thinks Russia is the bad guy, ask a Syrian, Iraqi, or Libyan about how their American invasion have helped them out.

American administrations for 30 years have used the incredible ignorance of US citizens and their desire to be nice guys to enable our elites to plunder US taxpayers while murdering millions of people for "their own good."
