this is your best piece yet.

the whole globalist edifice is underpinned by complex, interdependent financial and supply chain systems. and these reckless muppets have no idea how any of it works.

they are pulling out the foundations of a skyscraper to wield them as clubs against one another oblivious to the instability it creates, or worse, desirous of it because in toppling the structures of our lives and prosperity, they might create such fear, desperation, and misery that people would embrace dire authoritarian rule to pursue the false premises of "building back better."

i'm honestly not sure which prospect is the more frightening, but either is enough to terrify.

we seem to inhabit a post rational age of magical thinking in which systems "just work" because they have, for so long, just worked and worked so well. again and again, basic sanity and structure are abandoned for that which sounded good or that served some cronyistic purpose or short term exigency. therein lies the danger. the entire foundation of of modern commerce and finance is premised upon a high level of systemic stability and function.

i wonder, where is the tipping point of dissolution and disintegration? at what point does this come apart at speed, cease to function, and leave billions in the lurch, dependent upon the bounty that distributed free markets produced but no longer able to access it because the gears that made markets run have been smashed by unknowing illiterates lacking cognizance of the nature or perhaps even existence of these machines?

plenty does not simply pour from the ground like a desert spring, it must be made and it can easily be lost. this is a lesson forgotten at great peril.

Putin invaded, I know why he invaded, I know that expansion of Nato was a key cause and I also KNOW that Zelensky is now trying his best to get us militarily involved. What I do see is an abject failure of diplomacy and overreach of the West as they push Putin toward an either or situation. Sending the woke Kamala Harris to Europe would be a laughing matter if this situation wasn't so serious. The West is now approaching the point of absolutely no return. The stock market has not "collapsed" yet and I think many assume this will all just blow over.....but it won't. The repercussions against Russia may be unprecedented but the fall out in terms of energy, metals / materials / foodstuffs will be dire. Not 1 in 10 understands this as yet, indeed life is still going on around us, shelves remain well stocked here in the States. Europe is about to be awoken to its demise. I have started to prudently accumulate some stuff but after 65 years on this planet whatever comes will come. As a citizen I have no power except at voting time and even then which imbecilic party should I vote for? Meanwhile my best to Doomberg and readers. Oh, and begin to think the unthinkable...........
