The cynic in me thinks that since the developed world is used to and trained to pay $X for energy, any savings from "free energy" would be met with a equal and proportionate increase in taxes for said energy.

These days I'd say they were after manipulating the stock market. Anyone follow up to see if they retired many years later to a private island?

Toyota Hydrogen Engine... getting there, but not yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IPR50-soNA The bigger problem is going to be storage and transport of a material that leaks like mad, even going straight through steel walls (and embrittling them at the same time).

I'm not going to go through all the issues, I'm sure someone else will be happy to do so. It is the internet, but lets just say it's not so much a mass conspiracy as humans following the path of least resistance in the local space, regardless of if it's leading into a valley or over a cliff.
