Would love to see you write about nostr, its potential and the growing movement on that protocol "post twitter". And of course - you should have a profile on nostr..

As someone who also left Twitter for a variety of reason I trust you won't miss it anymore that I do. Thanks for the great content. Look forward to your future content.

Have been a fan of Doomberg for years now. I always look forward to your information, and understand your misgiving with X/Twitter. I find myself using/perusing it less as of late, and enjoying the Substackers (Robert Bryce, QTR, etc) rather than giggling at Twitter memes and clips of western society devolving!

"the current owner of Twitter is free to do whatever he likes with his property" A friend suggested his name is 'Eletric Jesus'. "Elon Musk did not defame a British caver who helped in last year's rescue of trapped Thai schoolboys by calling him a "pedo guy", a US jury has found" As an admirer of the divers who saved a lot of children's lives his huge loses are indeed his business. I have a EV- is NOT a Tesla!

Doomy, less than 1hr ago, Elon tweeted this (I can't add screenshots so text only):

“If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill.

No limit.

Please let us know.”

"Polarising figure", yep, he sure is. Most of those that dislike him are Democrats/Leftists that HATE there is someone standing in the way of their "side" having ultimate power, forever. Much of the rest of those that despise him, are simply envious of his stature as the world's richest man. As Charlie Munger says, "Envy is a really stupid sin because it’s the only one you could never possibly have any fun at. There’s a lot of pain and no fun. Why would you want to get on that trolley?”

Elon may not be doing much for competing platforms (unlike the generous souls at Google/FB/YouTube/Insta etc. of course) but he is the ONLY titan out there sticking up for the little guy in the constitutional battle for freedom of speech, and all that entails. There is NO battle more important to win if you ask me. Everything hangs off it including election integrity and therefore, democracy.

I sense your bias against him may have started when he was clearly milking the taxpayer funded ESG gravy train for his businesses when it suited him. They needed a global face for EVs to ensure that they would gain traction and he ticked every box. Tesla's ridiculous market cap at its peak when it was barely breakeven is a giveaway on this. Problem was, those behind "the chosen one" didn't realise his support was not always guaranteed. There would be a line when crossed, that he turned against them. He had however reached "escape velocity" at that point and whilst they couldn't cancel him, they've tried everything else. His physical freedom and safety is at risk, as his young family's, daily.

You can junk him and "X" whilst clearly realising the pure evil that would be far stronger if he didn't take a stand against it. That's what makes this interesting to me. Your work is otherwise exceptional...we all have a blind spot though I guess.

Onwards we go! ; )

I guess I need to check out Notes, now. Going to Threads (or any Meta property) was a complete non-starter for me. Love your work.

I am so thankful for you guys. I want actual logic and business sense applied to decisions we make on the financial side of government. Right now we are facing idealogical suicide and you are a clarion voice in the wilderness.

So you're saying we can enjoy the usual well written and researched articles on Substack AND not have to suffer your stupid, knee-jerk retweets about "crypto" stuff on Twitter?

Sounds like a win-win to me!

PS: Fuck X.

I think there is a compliment buried in there somewhere ;)

I think being a paid subscriber is one the best compliment one can do to an author...

... and so is taking some of our precious time to let an author know about his (perceived) strength and weakness. ;)
