“The dirty little secret of what used to be known as Wall Street securities firms – Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, and Bear Stearns – was that every one of them funded their business in this way to varying degrees, and every one of them was always just twenty-four hours away from a funding crisis. The key to day-to-day survival was the skill with which Wall Street executives managed their firms' ongoing reputation in the marketplace.
Well done! As an Afghan I was okay with Biden withdrawing from the country. I had hope that my people could finally start rebuilding on their own without a foreign presence. But given the recent events, Biden butchered the exit and you laid out the consequences very well.
I had already added Doomberg to my daily-check list, but this is the first article that really made me sit up and nod. Thanks for chasing your passion.

I read all of Peter's stuff. It's great. All opinions on Doomberg are authentically held and politely presented. ;)
What elephant in the room?
